Perfect conditions greeted the 22 starters for today’s 47km handicap.
The handicappers divided the field into 6 bunches with the limit bunch provided the luxury of 22 mins. Scratch set a formidable pace right from the get go whilst 4m group we’re making good ground on the 8min group. By Woodstock heights and the run through to Maryborough Road turn still to take its toll. By Powers road scratch had caught all but limit however they were past soon after. The few stragglers hanging onto the back were dropped by a Mathew Grealy attack on the hill before the turn. In the final sprint Brad Geyer had a convincing win over and improving Matt Grealy in second place. 3rd was Leigh Wallace after a lengthy spell, 4th Tony Byrne, 5th Gavin Hill, 6th Brett Williams, 7th Pam Robertson, 8th David Cripps, 9th Gino Leanne Abbisogni and 10th Ross Ogilvie. Fastest Time was Brad Geyer in a time of 1:11:02. Next week race is at Bridgewater with Graded scratch races.
