Today marks the day club stalwart Ricky Lovell received his life membership.
We were fortunate to have Rick and his family come out to receive his life membership for his many years of devotion to The Central Vic Vets. Rick was also on hand to see the presentation for today’s place getter. 13 brave souls turned up to compete in today’s 35km handicap at Woodstock. With only 13 riders the handicappers divides the field into 3 bunches with a 5 man scratch scratch bunch giving away 5mins to second Scratch and 20mins to a 3 person limit bunch. A nasty hail storm hit the two front bunches at Newbridge, however this did not slow the limit bunch down with Di Jane driving the front markers towards the finish line. Di was able break the shackles to take a comfortable win from Andrea Wilson and Keto-Rider Bryan Oliver in 3rd. John Annie Weir won the bunch kick for the minor placing from Gary Ford in 5th place. Tim Phillips scores a hard earned Fastest time. Central Vic Vets held their AGM immediately after the days proceedings. The re-elected president thanked those outgoing committee members for their support. The new committee will be listed on the website shortly.
